Go-Sail Sailing Adventure Camps for TeenagersAt Go-Sail your child's safety whilst out on the water is our priority, all our yachts, powerboats and RIBs are coded to the highest standards and we only use fully qualified and locally experienced RYA instructors.
We are offering School Holiday Sailing Camps this Easter and Summer holidays, for children ages 11-18. Children have the opportunity to gain their RYA Sailing Skills levels 1 and / or 2 aboard our new Jeanneau SunFast 3600; the essential starting point for all your RYA Yacht Sail training. For private groups we can take children from the age of 8 but they must be in a group of 5 pupils (can be of varying ages). |
RYA Sailing Courses
RYA Sailing Skills Level 1 - Start SailingThis 2 day course is a short introduction to sailing for novices. At the end you will have a basic understanding of yacht handling under sail, including, steering a yacht, sail handling, rope work and be aware of safety aboard. This course is aimed at having great fun, whilst learning about sailing a yacht. No previous knowledge or experience is required to join. During this course we will sail in local Jersey waters. At the end of each day we will return to Albert Pier Pontoon, St Helier. It is ideally suited to the complete novice who would like to have a go at sailing for the first time and combined with Sailing Skills Level 2 is a great pre-cursor to the RYA Competent Crew course.
Sailing Skills Level 1

RYA Start Sailing Level 2 - Basic SkillsThis 2-day course builds on the skills and knowledge acquired in RYA Sailing Skills - Level 1. On completion of the course you will have a basic knowledge of sailing and be capable of sailing a yacht in light winds as crew and helming with a skipper aboard. Every student starting this course should have mastered the practical skills and absorbed the background knowledge required to complete RYA Sailing Skills - Level 1. During this course we will sail in local Jersey waters. At the end of each day we will return to Albert Pier Pontoon, St Helier. It is ideally suited to the novice who would like to follow on from the Level 1 course and combined with Sailing Skills Level 1 is a great pre-cursor to the RYA Competent Crew course.
