A comprehensive introduction to day skipper theory for inexperienced skippers. Applicable for both Power and Sail, this course equips you with the knowledge to navigate and command safely. This RYA Day Skipper Theory course is essential for those needing the skills and knowledge to be safe at sea, to navigate, interpret the tides and deal with emergency situations effectively. The course is run by St Helier Yacht Club and is delivered by the Go-Sail.je chief instructor. |
RYA Coastal/Yachtmaster™ Offshore Theory
A flexible and comprehensive introduction to cruising for experienced skippers or those progressing from the Day Skipper Theory.
Applicable for both Power and Sail, this course takes you to the standard required to execute more complex coastal and offshore passages. It prepares you for the practical courses and end of course examination.
There is a focus on more advanced navigation and passage planning skills, meteorology and the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea (IRPCS).
