Membership Plans
We can tailor a Go-Sail.je Family and Friends membership plan to suit your personal requirements, below are our three most popular plans. Your points can be used exclusively for bareboat charters on our yachts or you could choose to charter our catamaran with a skipper, join a race in our racing program or nip over to France for lunch on one of our powerboats. The selection of boat and day or activity define the number of points required. For bareboat charter, weekends require more points that weekdays.

Monthly Fee
Your monthly subscription fee covers all aspects of boat ownership including Jersey mooring fees, maintenance, cleaning and insurance. If damage occurs whilst you have a boat on charter you will be required to pay the excess on the insurance policy for any damage, repair or replacement. The membership subscription rate will remain fixed for the 12 months of your membership contract. |
Joining Fee
There is a one off joining fee of £1,500 which applies to all new members. The joining fee covers the cost of the familiarisation sessions on all of the boats, competency assessments and administrative costs. |
Competency Assessment
Competency is assessed on each boat before it can be taken out on bareboat charter. This is an annual activity. The format is similar to the International Certificate of Competence assessment. |
Frequently Asked Questions
What qualifications are required?
Bareboat charters require members to have a minimum of the RYA Day Skipper Tidal practical certificate for our sailing yachts and RYA Powerboat Level 2 for our powerboats. However we recognise that these certificates aren't the only evidence of ability, therefore if you have a sufficient level of knowledge, experience and competency please contact us to discuss your membership options.
How can i use my points?
Go-Sail.je Family and Friends members can use their points on all of the Go-Sail.je products except for RYA Theory courses. For each product available to members we have defined the number of points required to use the product in our Price List. Points cannot be carried forward to another 12 month contract.
Bareboat charter points provide you with use of the boats from 2030 until 2000 the following day. The Cruising ground
Our boats can be used in Channel Island waters and along the north French coast from Roscoff to Le Harve and must not be navigated further than 20nm from a safe haven.
How do I become familiar with the boats?
Familiarisation sessions are compulsory for everyone before they first use a boat and before their first assessment. The Go-Sail.je membership joining fee covers this cost.
Can I use all of my points in one booking?
No. We restrict the number of consecutive days that can be booked to 7 days. Consecutive weekends cannot be booked for bareboat charters. We also monitor boat usage to ensure fair availability for all of our members.
Can I pay my subscription annually rather than monthly?
Yes. If you pay your annual fee upfront you will receive an additional 5% of points. If you sign up to a 2 year commitment and pay annually you will receive an additional 10% of points per annum.
Can I share my membership?
Yes. Memberships can be shared as a joint membership within families and friendship groups at an additional cost of £50/month per additional skipper. Each skipper will be required to complete the annual competency check before using a boat on bareboat charter.
Can i use the catamaran?
Yes, the catamaran can be booked using your points but only as a skippered charter.
Can I use the racing yacht?
Yes, you can use the racing yacht with a skipper on our races and skippered charters.
Can i Bring Friends on races and other Events?
Yes, on the races and events that are available to book using points per person you can bring family and friends with you. If your family member or friend subsequently sign up to a Go-Sail.je Membership, you will both receive free points to the value of the race day or event that you took part in.
Are there any additional charges?
Can I purchase extra points within my 12 month contract?
Yes, if you require more points during your 12 month contract they can be purchased. Please note, that additional point purchases cost more than pre-arranged points. For clarity, points cannot be carried forward onto the next 12 month period.
What happens if the weather is too rough to use a boat?
If at the start of your booking the forecast wind is Force 6 and above we will cancel yacht bookings, Force 5 and above we will cancel powerboat bookings. Members points will be refunded in these cases.
Can i use my points for business activities?
You can use your points for your business activities on our skippered charter trips. Please contact us to discuss corporate hospitality, team development and incentive days.
