Learn to Sail

Learn to Sail with Go-sail.je. Whether it be sail or power that appeals to you, at Go-sail.je we are able to teach you what you need to know to safely enjoy Channel Island waters. 

Due to the limited demand, it is not viable for us to be a registered RYA school, although our instructors are RYA qualified skippers with thousands of miles under the keel and have extensive local knowledge. Therefore learning with us is less structured and focuses specifically on your own prior knowledge, our vessels and how to handle them in comfort and above all else, safety. Our focus is about practical boat handling, safety at sea and sailing skills.

This is a non-exam environment - so there is no pressure to detract from your enjoyment. We offer flexibility to suit your availablity, be it just a few hours here and there, or full days afloat - summer evenings after work for example. Whether you require just a quick refresher or would like in-depth instruction, individually or in groups, the choice is yours.

If you wish to join as a Go-sail.je member, we are able to offer you extensive tuition, however, to achieve the actual RYA Day Skipper qualification under sail, you should take the relevant course with an RYA cruising school. We recommend PR Sailing Jersey. ttp://www.prsailjersey.com/ 

Go-sail.je Racing. As part of the learning curve, you are welcome to join us as crew on board "Venustus" during the summer months. Go-sail.je is competing in a number of local races during the season.
