Yacht Features

You are guaranteed a comfortable journey on board the Beneteau Ombrine 1001.

  • She has a wonderful fully cushioned seating area at the rear that makes the cockpit a social focal point of the boat.
  • A cockpit bimini is a part of the large canvas cover that gives excellent foul weather protection whilst folding back to leave a wonderful open cockpit for when the conditions allow.
  • Inside there is a full galley and heads configuration with a comfortable saloon area.

From the very first glance “Lady Grace of Jersey” makes a marked impression. Built on classical lines, in a “power yacht” style, with a comfortable and elegant interior, her contours are designed for speed – taking the helm is sheer delight. The amount of space in the cabin and cockpit is equally generous. A magnificently designed yacht, she is suitable for blue water cruising or day trips alike, with her walkaround deck providing a very accessible and safe vessel.

The spacious, interior accommodation is lined with mahogany toned cabinetry including the galley; this has numerous cupboards, a fridge, sink, gas oven and dual burner hob. With cruising her primary purpose, the modular saloon provides multiple berths; a large convertible dinette forward and a further double berth in the midships cabin. This cabin has the luxury of en-suite access to the toilet and shower compartment. In combination with the décor, the natural light that streams through no fewer than 8 portholes, creates an atmosphere of warmth and authenticity.

But it is the above-decks that really attract attention. The large, teak decked cockpit is the focal point of this luxurious boat. A folding table is enveloped by a U shaped settee, come sun-lounger. Capable of seating eight adults in comfort, this open plan cockpit layout interacts easily with the helm position. At the helm, the double seat provides plenty of space and good, all around visibility. Everything is easily within reach, be it the twin levers for the engines, the sets of dials and gauges or the switch panel. From here the skipper really is able to optimize the quality of the ride by adjustment of the revs, the hydraulic trim tabs and outdrives angles. The cockpit floor can be raised at the press of a button, to reveal the voluminous engine compartment. There facilitates access to the two Volvo Penta KAD32 engines. Fitted with turbodrives and superchargers, these little babies produce plenty of power and reliability. At the same time, the fuel consumption is reassuringly sensible for a 10m sportscruiser.

This hull design is ideal for Channel Island waters. The deep V and large sweeping bow easily ride through the waves, while the windscreen and deck remain dry. Cruising on calmer seas at around 18-20 knots, nowhere is very far away. But should the weather take a turn for the worse “Lady Grace” has the weight and power to happily take a Force 4 at 14 knots.

Whether you be a motorboater or sailor, you can’t help but enjoy yourself on “Lady Grace of Jersey”.
