You don’t need to travel far to find inspiration

"Go-Sail.je" recommends a range of destinations that you can sail to, whether you are looking for a nature hot-spot or the bustle of a coastal town. You are permitted to travel within the Channel Islands and to France from Roscoff to Le Havre. Below are just a few suggested places for you to enjoy.

    St. Malo 

Stop off at the charming walled town of St Malo for some lunch, shopping and a taste of continental Europe. With easy access from the harbour to the town you can make the most of your day-trip.

    Les Ecrehous

Just seven miles from the Jersey coastline this group of islands and rocks is the perfect location for tranquil fishing, admiring the coastal wildlife and enjoying a picnic.

    Chaussey

Comprising 52 small islands and islets at high tide, Chaussey seems an obvious choice if you want to go Island hopping. Stop off at Grand Île for a spot of lunch while soaking up this unspoilt island life.

    Paimpol

Located on the coast of Brittany, Paimpol is a vibrant town that has plenty to offer those passing through. From authentic day and night markets on the quaint cobbled streets to world music festivals you’ll be sure to experience something new.

     Guernsey

A trip to Guernsey makes for a great day trip if you are looking to discover somewhere new in the Channel Islands. The picturesque town of St Peter Port offers shopping and a range of restaurants and bars for all tastes from locally caught seafood restaurants to brasserie-style cafes.

     Herm

Just three miles from the Guernsey coastline is the unspoilt island of Herm. Sail up to one of the sandy beaches or quiet coves and spend some time enjoying the wildlife and peace on the island. You may even spot puffin or dolphins around the coastline.

   Granville

Enjoy the pretty town of Granville with its small boutique shops and sprawling weekend market then spend the afternoon in one of the many waterfront restaurants, below the Citadel walls. From Granville you can take in views up and down the coast, across to Mont St-Michel and out to the Îles Chausey.
